postheadericon Teri Hatcher Diet and Exercise Tips

What’s the secret to Teri Hatcher looking so good in her forties? With all the pressures of maintaining a Hollywood career and being a single mum over the years, it’s been tough. But with a disciplined diet, exercise and reportedly using natural diet pills, Teri Hatcher has done a fantastic job.

It’s difficult having sympathy for Hollywood stars. We tend to think that, because of their privileged lifestyles, that they don’t have the pressures that the rest of us have. But the pressure of staying at the top, impressing casting directors and maintaining a personal life can be very hard.

What has made it easier for Teri is her love of exercise. What she has to guard against is getting bored. If she gets bored, apparently she stops, so she likes to vary her routine, which has led her to finding a very unusual way to stay fit. “I like to hike and work out at the gym but I get bored easily,” she says. “That’s when I started doing the stripping classes.”

Teri also uses more conventional ways to get exercise, including Pilates and yoga-style stretching exercises. Then she will follow it with thirty minutes of pole dancing.

Of course, all this exercise would be to no avail if it was not accompanied by a healthy diet. Teri tries to keep fat out of her diet as much as possible. She likes to eat grilled chicken or steamed fish with fresh vegetables.

When she needs a treat, occasionally she’ll give in and go for guilty pleasures, which are banana splits with chocolate and… wait for it… gummy bears.

Teri has apparently also been known to use the natural diet pill, Hoodia Gordonii, which is an appetite suppressant. Hoodia has received a lot of attention. It’s proven to be effective in helping to lose weight. However, recent studies have shown that up to 95% of Hoodia contain cheaper ingredients which are completely ineffective – only Hoodia containing the P57 molecule works.

The most important lesson to learn from Teri’s regime is to find food and exercise routines that you like, that keep you interested. There are so many ways to keep fit (including pole dancing) and so many different, healthy foods, that you are bound to find some to keep you happy, healthy and slim.

postheadericon Lemonade Diet

We hear so much about eliminating toxins from our bodies right now. Well the lemonade diet is just the thing to do that. This diet is only meant to be a short term cleansing diet. Most people stay on it for about 10 days. If you have never heard about this before we will list how to do it here.

First if you are going to go on the lemonade diet you need to understand that it is a fasting diet which means no solid food. Check with your physician before doing it. Make sure what medicine you need to stay on and which medicine you can leave off safely during the fast.

You need to be aware that fasting is not for everyone. Some people have a difficult time going without solid food for several days. This being said here is how to do the lemonade diet.

Your daily nutritional needs will be a daily regimen of lemonade that is made from non-fluoridated water and 60 ounces of it. Mix in 12 Tablespoons of fresh squeezed lemon juice from organically grown lemons, a total of

postheadericon Prepackaged Diet Meals Review – A Look at the Medifast Diet

There’s no question that prepackaged diets are incredibly popular today. Few of us actually have the time to research, shop for, prepare and package our low calorie or low carb foods. Sticking with diets are hard enough, so adding on the work of research and preparation, at least in my opinion, lessens the chance that you will actually stick with and have success on the diet. And, in today’s economy, very often, you’ll find that cost of these prepackaged diets are actually lower in cost than trying to buy a bunch of groceries and wasting the gas to gather them. In this article, I will review one of the more popular prepackaged diets and the one that I’ve had a great deal of success with — Medifast.

How Medifast Works: In the truest sense of the word, this is a prepackaged diet. Although there are many options from which to chose (women’s, men’s, diabetics, heart health, and metabolism boosting), all of the plans provide you with enough food to eat the company’s prepackaged foods five times per day. Once per day you will prepare your own fresh, large, healthful meal (this is called the “lean and green,” and it consist of lean protein and veggies.) So, you’re eating six times per day, but only preparing one meal (and you can make this preparation really easy by using an indoor grill and bagged vegetables.)

The prepackaged foods are generally quick and easy to prepare and assemble. Some of the shakes require a blender, but some don’t. The bars require only that you remove the wrapper, but some of the other foods, like the eggs and oatmeal, require only minimal assembly.

Medifast Food Choices And Taste: There are over 70 food choices with this diet. Examples are the shakes and bars, puddings and cappuccinos, chili and stews, crackers and chips, fruit drinks and hot chocolates, etc. The taste for the most part is pretty good and better than I expected. And, you can make it even better by adding fat free syrups, whipped creams, sour cream, cheese, humus, etc. I really like to use the pudding as a base for recipes that allow you to make muffins and cookies.

How Ketosis And A Low Amount Of Carbohydrates Make This Diet Very Effective: Many people don’t realize this, but this is technically a low carb diet. All of the foods are low in calories and high in protein. This works to force your body into a metabolic state called ketosis. Since you are depriving it of carbs that it would usually burn for energy, it instead has to turn on stored fat which in turn will really ramp up your metabolism and weight loss.

I believe that this is why Medifast works so well and is so effective. In essence, it works a lot like the South Beach or Atkins diet, but you don’t have to eat meat or eggs all of the time. As a result, many people see pretty quick and dramatic results as long as they follow the instructions to a reasonable degree.

Cost: This diet’s cost is pretty typical of a prepackaged diet. It’s around $8 – $10 per day and this can be better with coupons, specials and discounts that are very frequently offered. When you think about it, with the cost of groceries and gas today, this may actually be less than you spend on groceries.

Bottom Line: At the end of the day, my review of Medifast is positive. It’s a very effective diet, the food is pretty decent tasting, and it’s very convenient and easy to follow. They aren’t any calories to count, or many choices to make. You just mostly eat the foods they give you, and you’re on your way.

postheadericon Does The Fat Flush Diet Plan Work Or Is Just Another Fad?

The Fat Flush diet plan was devised by nutritionist Ann Louise Gittleman who believes that the keys to being overweight are liver toxicity, waterlogged tissues, fear of eating fat, excess insulin, and stress. Despite Gittleman stating that her plan is “as easy as 1-2-3″, the Fat Flush diet plan has been described by one reader as “incredibly complex in its explanations and expectations of its followers”.

The Fat Flush diet plan instructs followers to avoid white flour, white sugar, margarine, vegetable shortening, artificial sweeteners and caffeine and emphasizes 8 ounces or more of protein including two eggs a day, healthy fats such as Omega 3 and 6, vegetables, spices, water, and 8 glasses a day of diuretic beverages.

Like the South Beach Diet and similar diet programs, the Fat Flush diet plan is divided into three phases with the first phase being extremely restrictive. In phase one of the Fat Flush diet plan, you are told to consume 1,100 to 1,200 calories a day, which for many people will be far less than what their body requires. You also eliminate grains, bread, cereal, starchy vegetables, dairy products, alcohol and oils/fats (except flax seed oil).

After two weeks on the Fat Flush diet plan, or four weeks if you have more than more than 25 pounds to lose, you gradually increase your calorie consumption and add healthy carbohydrates and dairy products while avoiding the bad foods mentioned while following certain rules, such as having one protein food with each meal, not eating vegetables and fruits together, not having milk and meat together, and not drinking water with meals.

The Fat Flush diet plan claims that it “melts fat from hips, waist and thighs in two weeks” and that it reshapes and detoxifies the body. However, there are no clinical studies to support the Fat Flush diet plan’s effectiveness for taking weight off and keeping it off. Detox diets usually have very little evidence to support their wild claims and most experts do not buy into the whole concept of “fat flushing”.

Therese Franzese, M.S., R.D., director of nutrition at Chelsea Piers Sports Complex in New York City, says you cannot detox your liver or speed up your metabolism with specific foods. She also says that any weight loss that results from the Fat Flush diet plan stems solely from a calorie deficit.

In terms of physical activity and exercise, the Fat Flush diet plan recommends walking and bouncing on a mini-trampoline in the initial phases, with weight training coming in phase three. While I agree with the weight training recommendation, I’m left wondering how walking and a mini-trampoline, as the Fat Flush diet plan suggests, can be effective for a world where at least 400 million are obese.

Another factor to take into account is that the Fat Flush diet plan would be very challenging you are vegetarian or vegan as animal proteins play a big role in this diet. In addition, the Fat Flush diet plan can be costly since you have to shell out big bucks for supplements, powders, and oils, in addition to more fish and meat you may be used to buying.

In summary, the Fat Flush diet plan teaches some very important lessons such as the importance of drinking water, consuming healthy fats, eliminating junk carbs and caffeine, and limiting alcohol. However, like many diets the Fat Flush diet plan makes the mistake of recommending a low-carbohydrate and low-calorie initial phase which for many people can have lasting health consequences.

postheadericon What is O Positive Blood Type Diet? Tips to Choose O Positive (O +Ve) Synergized Diet

Human body deals with nutrients according to blood type. So it’s beneficial to choose your diet according to the blood group. O positive blood group people have strong stomach acid and respective enzymes. Thus they are able to metabolize almost everything.

Following diets are mainly responsible for weight gain in most O type people. So these should be avoided.

-Diary products
- Wheat and wheat products: Wheat contains gluten that interferes with insulin resulting slower metabolic rate
- Beans and legumes: These contain lectins that are deposited in the muscle tissue
- Cabbage, cauliflower, and mustard: These can inhibit thyroid problems reducing metabolic rate

Following foods are recommended for these people:

-They should eat lots of fruits of alkaline nature, such as plums, berries etc.
-O type people have low clotting capacity. So it is advisable to eat vegetables rich in vitamin K
-They should stick to high protein, low carb diet

These people are commonly prone to the following diseases:

-Hypothyroidism
-Stomach Ulcer
-Blood clotting problem

O was the first blood group to be identified. It takes us to our hunter-gatherer ancestors. They used to depend on high-protein meat based diet. This holds also true today. It is advisable for these people to involve themselves in various physical activities.

There are negative views about this theory. It is claimed to be pseudo-science. Most nutrient experts and doctors do not agree with Mr. D’Adamo, the proposer of blood type diet. It prevents people from consuming many important nutrients needed for good health.

postheadericon Eat Yourself Slim With Lose Weight Diets

Have you ever thought of having a fit and healthy body??

Currently, lots of people are suffering from weight problems which could result into several complications like hypertension, diabetes mellitus, stroke, and many more. These people who have weight problems and already enduring the complications surely have a very poor quality of life which would affect their work, family and friends. Overweight and obese clients are advised to trim down their weight through exercise and weight lose dieting. But do you have any idea about the different lose weight diets? There are several types of lose weight fast diets which include South beach, Atkins and G.I. diet, among others.

SOUTH BEACH DIET

This is one of the most familiar diet strategies at the moment which was proposed by Dr. Arthur Agatston, a practicing cardiologist and the dietician, Marie Almon. This diet was suggested to be a substitute to a low-fat diet. Dr. Agatston believes that we just have to replace “Bad Carbohydrates” to “Good carbohydrates” and “Bad fats” to “good fats”. Instead of eating carbohydrate-rich foods, eat vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. It also recommends eating lean meat, fish, and nuts instead of red meat as a source of protein.

ATKINS DIET

This is also known as Atkins Nutritional Approach which was planned by Dr. Robert Atkins. If one will compare Atkins diet to other diets, you would learn that it is not focused on cutting down calorie-intake. Its center is on selecting nutrient-dense foods rather than energy-dense foods.

G.I. DIET

G.I. stands for Glycemic Index which is a form of measurement of the speed of carbohydrate-breakdown happening in the digestive tract which will be formed into glucose. This was developed by Dr. David Jenkins and explained that table sugar has a medium G.I. which could produce a decrease in the blood sugar level therefore should not be considered as one of the contributory factors in developing diabetes. This diet plan indicates that once must eat a low G.I. food like everybody’s favorite, spaghetti. Low G.I. food breaks down gradually and transports the glucose or sugar, in a slower and steady rate into the bloodstream.

These are the different lose weight diets which are mostly recommended by many. But we should not forget that whatever diet you would choose to have, do not forget the importance of exercise. Together with the diet, aerobic exercise for at least 30-45 minutes, three times a week is recommended. This type of exercise could be done through brisk walking, jogging, swimming, biking, among others. Surely, through proper diet and exercise, a good quality of life is just a snap away.

postheadericon Instant Weight Loss Plan – The Calorie Shifting Diet

If you need to lose weight in a hurry, then the Calorie Shifting diet is a proven and effective instant weight loss plan for tackling stubborn weight loss. If you follow the principles of calorie shifting strictly, you can lose weight at the alarming rate of nearly one pound per day! Even the more conservative estimates of weight loss on this diet clock the average person’s weight loss results in at 9 pounds every 11 days.

Calorie shifting describes the act of grouping your meals together by calorie type and then sequentially shifting your calorie types from meal to meal and from day to day. In other words, you might have meat and vegetables at one meal, meat and dairy at another, dairy and fruit at another, only fruits and vegetables at another, or you might have only vegetables at another.

The theory behind calorie shifting is that by shifting calories in this manner, you are able to manipulate your body’s metabolism into triggering the release of fat burning hormones in your body in response to what your body perceives as a nutritional deficit caused by the successive yoyoing of your nutritional food intake.

Fortunately, if you are in a hurry to jump onto an instant weight loss plan and start shedding some pounds quickly, then you need not bother with the details of how to structure your own diet. The Calorie Shifting diet has an online diet generator available that helps you to create a personalized diet plan, tailored to your own specific dietary preferences. It will let you take the guesswork out of figuring out what to eat and when.
